"Growth hacking is a marketing technique that relies on creativity, analytical thinking, and technology to sell products and services. It's a mindset and a set of tools that, when applied correctly, can supercharge your business."

In this post we’re going to be covering the following 7 growth hacking tactics:

Market research is a big topic which isn’t always easy to understand. So here is a blog post that answers all those questions in one place.

  1. Content Marketing
  2. SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  3. Social Media Marketing (SMM)
  4. Email Marketing/Automation (EMM)
  5. Affiliate Marketing/Partnerships (AM/P)
  6. Viral Marketing
  7. Mobile Marketing

Now let’s move to describing how to implement each tactic.

Here's a quick summary of the tactics:

1. Content Marketing

Create and distribute valuable, relevant content on a regular basis. Make sure you're providing something of value to your target audience. This is one of the most important growth hacking tactics because it can be used to attract new customers, build brand awareness, boost search engine rankings, and drive traffic to your website.

2. SEO

Optimize your website for search engines by using keywords in your title tags, meta descriptions, headings, ALT tags, URL structure and content. This is a great way to get more traffic from search engines like Google and Bing. You can also use SEO tactics like link building and social media marketing to increase your organic search engine traffic.

3. Social Media Marketing (SMM)

Use social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to promote your business and drive traffic back to your website or blog. There are many different ways you can use social media for marketing including creating Facebook ads, running contests on Twitter or building an email list with MailChimp or Aweber using social media share buttons on your website or blog posts.

4. Email Marketing/Automation (EMM)

Build an email list by offering something of value in exchange for people's email addresses like an ebook or free report in exchange for their name and email address (this is called an opt-in). Then send them regular emails that offer more value than just a sales pitch (this is called lead nurturing). You can also automate this process by sending out regular emails based on what people have signed up for (for example: if someone signs up for a free report about blogging then you could send them another free report about starting a blog). This is one of the most effective growth hacking strategies because it allows you to build relationships with potential customers over time which makes them more likely to buy from you when they're ready to make a purchase. You can also use EMM tactics like retargeting ads or Facebook ads that target people who have already visited your website but haven't made a purchase yet so that you can re-engage them with additional offers that might convince them to buy from you now instead of later when they've forgotten about you or moved onto other things in their lives that are more important than buying from you right now! 🙂

5. Affiliate Marketing/Partnerships (AM/P)

Find other websites in related niches where the owner would be willing to promote your product or service as an affiliate partner by placing links on their site that will lead visitors back to your site where they can make purchases directly from you instead of going through the affiliate partner's site first! If they don't want to promote as an affiliate partner then see if they would be willing to do some kind of co-promotion instead where both sites benefit from increased traffic and sales! This is one of my favorite growth hacking strategies because it allows me to get access to other people's audiences without having any direct contact with those audiences myself which means I don't have any direct responsibility for delivering results which makes this strategy very scalable! 🙂

6. Viral Marketing

Create a product or service that people want to share with their friends and family. This can be done by creating a product or service that is so amazing that people want to tell everyone about it, or it can be done by creating a product or service that is so controversial and provocative that people want to talk about it with their friends and family (like the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge). This strategy works best when you're targeting a specific niche audience because you'll have more control over who sees your content and who doesn't. If you try this strategy with a mass market audience then you'll have no control over who sees your content which means it's more likely to get lost in the shuffle of all the other content being created for mass market audiences which will make it less likely for your content to go viral!

7. Mobile Marketing – Make sure your website is mobile friendly! Mobile traffic has surpassed desktop traffic in many countries so make sure your website looks good on mobile devices too! Also create mobile apps for iOS and Android devices if possible! This will allow you to reach even more potential customers on the go!

Conclusion:

"Growth hacking is not an exact science, but there are some basic principles that apply across all industries. The most important thing is to focus on what works for your business. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing, just do what's right for you."

I agree with this statement because I've seen growth hacking work in many different industries including affiliate marketing, blogging, ecommerce, software development, SEO/SEM, social media marketing and web design/development. The tactics may be different depending on the industry but the principles are always the same: find out what works for your business and do more of it until something else works better than what you're doing now! 🙂
